This is an older video, but I'm just getting around to posting it. Featured on Oprah's OWN network, Noel Valero, founder of American Dystonia Society, was interviewed for the show Mystery Diagnosis. Noel, an online friend of mine, has a unique form of dystonia that doesn't fit into the typical dystonia diagnosis.
That didn't stop Noel from searching for an answer. Daily I saw him both asking questions, as well as offering his experiences to others searching for answers online. Eventually this led to him starting a non-profit that funds research efforts and provides support to those in the dystonia community.
Noel has literally dedicated his life to finding answers.. but knowing his background, that doesn't surprise me one bit.
